Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains, simply, what personal data this website collects and how it’s handled.
This website is run by Loes Fokker Holding BV, Kogge 2, 1113 JB Diemen, The Netherlands (KVK 92312101). For any privacy question, email me directly at loes@loesfokker.com.
Only what you choose to share:
The contact form. Your name and email address, and any message you send.
The book and occasional letters. If you ask me to send you the book, or sign up to receive my occasional letters, I collect your email address (and your name, if you give it).
Technical data. Like most websites, my host automatically logs basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running. See also Cookies below.
To reply to you and stay in contact about your enquiry, on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to people who reach out.
To send you the book or my occasional letters, on the basis of your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and every letter includes an unsubscribe link.
Your data is kept securely and seen only by me and, where needed, my small team. It’s handled through trusted service providers who process it on my behalf: my website host (Netlify), and my CRM, Pipedrive, where contact-form enquiries and book sign-ups are stored and from which my follow-up emails to you are sent. I never sell or rent your data, and I only share it where the law requires.
Some of the services this website relies on are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United States: my website host (Netlify) and the embedded video and event booking (Vimeo, Luma). My CRM, Pipedrive, which stores enquiries and sign-ups, is an EU-headquartered company and offers EU-based data hosting. Where any of your data is transferred or processed outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Some pages include content embedded from other services: my videos from Vimeo, and event booking from Luma. When a page with this content loads, your browser connects directly to those services, which receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies (Vimeo, Luma). I embed videos in privacy / do-not-track mode to limit this.
Enquiries: only as long as needed to be in contact with you, after which they’re deleted. Book and newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
I don’t use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Under the GDPR you can ask me to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, to object to its use, or to receive a copy. You can withdraw consent at any time. Just email loes@loesfokker.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
This website itself uses only essential cookies needed to function, and no analytics or advertising cookies. Some embedded third-party content may set its own cookies; see Third-party content above.
